About

Thanks for visiting Vintage Daytona Beach, a blog devoted to identifying and documenting the area’s remaining early and mid-20th century artifacts.  (In other words, the kind of stuff I grew up with.) The only criteria for inclusion is that I find it interesting and can get a good photo of it.

In your next wander thru Port Orange, you might grab a photo of the quaint Mount Moriah Baptist Church at the north end of Orange Ave., perhaps the last vestige of the Freemanville settlement. I love the sign that lists a “church mother.”

  2. Thanks for the great suggestion, Tom! I’ll check it out.

Hello, I’m an Urban Explorer and now live in Daytona. I stumbled on this blog and really enjoyed it. I got to revisit a few places I have “discovered” and find out a couple I haven’t. Thank You.
