February 4 is “Thank A Mailman Day”

Honest. Google it if you don’t believe me. So let’s salute one of the most beautiful old buildings in Daytona Beach – the U.S. Post Office at 220 N. Beach Street. It was built in 1932 (as part of the public works initiative to keep people working during the Great Depression) and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.  Magnificent.
